Everyone's heard of Genuine Specialist Authentication Company (GSAC) right? So this grade must be correct!

Oh wait. It's a steel cent - RD?

Hmmmm.

Fortunately, I did not pay real money for this basement slabber coin. It was a freebie tossed into a lot of 500 wheaties.

I thought y'all might appreciate the irony of calling a steel cent 'Red', not to mention the dubious MS-68 on an adulterated coin.

I've seen the top TPG's send back steel cents as RD before too. It isn't something to rag on the basement slabbers about. It was just something in their systems cents are copper and copper comes RD, RB, and BN. A steel cent is still a cent and sometimes the designation get applied incorrectly.

And yes I have heard of GSCA, not sure if I have one of their slabs yet.
