Question on q 2008 ML
I have one that has a gold rim and gold maple leaf.
Did the RCM put these out .. or were they done after
being minted.

I have a chance to purchase a 2009 with same gold accents.

I sort of like them .. just not sure of their history.

Here is a picture of my 2008 ... although not a very good pic.

Those are $5.00 Bullion Issues so they would be
done aftermarket. I have seen many of these on ebay.
There was a $5.00 gold plated silver ML issued
in 2008 ,but it was a commemorative.
