It didn`t leave the mint that way.
It`s a damaged coin.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

That's the letter "P" beneath the queen. It was used in the earlier years to distinguish the use of plated steel planchette.

Yours may well have a red dot on the reverse but it was a solid nickel colour when it was originally released. It appears as if someone was artistically attempting to add a sunrise...PMD (post mint damage).

2005 Alberta 25c have a very small raised letter "p" below the queen. It possibly feels like a dot but that doesn't necessarily make it one. You might want to use a magnifier to take a good look? Or feel free to share a closeup clear pic.

The "P" may be filled in, and would feel and look like a dot to the naked eye.

need better (bigger) pictures to determine if your red or dot is anything special.

I'm thinking this is nothing special but rather someone with a sharpie. But the pictures really make it impossible to tell. Better images are needed.
