Having trouble identifying this variety.
It appears to be a narrow date but the 9 looks like it is
a round back which would make it a wide date.

Help-To-Identify-1942-50c-Variety!!

My favourite series, King George VI 50c.this caught my eye! Over the past few months I've picked up a few here and there without really looking for any particular variety, my fall project to see what I have found.

I'd agree, it's a wide date going by the shorter distance of the "2" to the hoof. Is by chance the "2" doubled below the bottom bar?

For now I will mark it as a
Zoell J443c (RB9 wide date high 2)

There is no doubling on the two.

You are correct JimmyD, this is a Wide Date but I am not sue that this is a High2.
