Hi
I have the chance to obtain this nice looking half dollar
It does appear to be silver and certainly has a nice ring to it when tapped
It weighs 13.50 gr
The edge lettering appears to be correct
What should I be looking for as far as fakes go?

Looks genuine, I have not looked at a grading book but seems to be XF-AU Details Cleaned. I would pay $100-$150.

Genuine, AU-50 or so, most attractive.

Appears genuine, leaning toward an Overton 105, but would need clearer picture or in hand to verify.

It appears not be any of the rarer Overtons for that date.

£100 is a great price on it.

Looks real and AU in grade. The only thing that concerns me is the black mark on the reverse which may preclude a problem free grade. Still well worth the price you were offered. I'd say do it.

Nice AU-50 or slightly better. IMHO, if you can get it for $200 or less, grab it!

Old cleaning. Its come back, but the darkness in the protected areas around the stars and in the shield on the reverse indicates at some point it was cleaned to brighten it up.

Nice looking coin.

I also think authentic AU coin. Old cleaning, most have a
old cleaning.

Price is good
