This april I visited Vienna on business. 100 meters from my hotel I found a small coin-shop, but everytime I went by it was closed. On my last day I finally found it open and bought this florin for my Franz Joseph type collection (I will probably never really complete).

Only later did I realise it probably has some die cracks. One line goes between crown and H, another from ribbon to feather tips, and another from H to V and yet another from A and R to B.

Are those really die cracks or something else perhaps?

There's a name for these radial cracks which eludes me. Considered minor I believe.

Thank you. Yes, I figured it's nothing major, but it makes the coin a bit more intersting in my opinion. If anyone knows the word that's eluding you, I'd appreciate it.
