I think the coin grades AU details: cleaned.

Au details...something doesn't look right on the fields. Specifically near the 7-10 oclock range on the obverse the fields seem off and miscolored

Congrats on the gold.

To me they are the perfect US gold coin to collect. Not much more above melt for fairly nice coins, even slabbed if that is your thing. Not too small, but not too pricey to pick up one on your run to the LCS.

Agree with all on the AU cleaned, though the third party graders are generally looser on gold coins.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I need better photos of the coin because I looked in the original thread and most people said AU 55. Ill take better ones in a few minutes.

I'd say AU-50 sharpness with a light wipe of the surfaces. It might get a straight grade from the TPGs, but the odds are against it.
