I picked up a good sized collection of hammered coins and am having trouble identifying this one. It is one of the poorest condition ones in the group, but was kept by the original owner for some reason. Anyway, it does not show up clear in the pic, but the obverse is a front facing king with a crown and the reverse looks like two shields of some sort. It is silver.

In the only real area that the entire coin is there, it measures 18mm in diameter and is paper thin.

Thank You

Probably Sigisimund III, I have a few coins from Livinia with that same crowned S. Not recognizing the reverse offhand.

I believe that is it Bob. So, it is an S and not a face. That is interesting.
