ok everyone, be gentle, let me down easy. ....found this earlier, can't find anything on it, looks like some kind of double ear lobe....thought it might be a hit but it's to rounded & no part near it has been struck.....any ideas ? ... ...love this variety coin hunting....

Looks like it just got dinged at the bottom of the ear lobe. I know it's a bummer when it doesn't turn out to be something -I still get that all the time. Who knows when some of the others chime in it may turn out differently. Don't give up though.

If you have another one of the same year snap a photo of it and compare them.

In order for it to be a doubled ear, the design would have to be repeated enlarging that area. What you are seeing is a contact mark on the lobe. Normal sized, with a contact mark on it.
