Is anyone else scrambling to do ebay's promo offer of 500 free listings , but only 7 days to do it. Actually, it's up to 500 free listings & you have only 7 days to list freebies. I am determined to get 500, 30 day fixed price listings done before I run out of time. 60 done last night for day one. I will update daily with my progress for the 7 day period.440 to go. |

I never hit the point where listing is no longer free. Up to this point, I have only sold lots of coins, usually no more than 5-10 in a month.
I am actually holding out until they do another "fee cap" like they did in June... didn't hit it because I was too disorganized and bogged down in my backlog, but I will be ready next time!

Keep in mind the offer is good only on fixed price GOOD TILL CANCELLED listings. So if you list 500, 50 sell, ebay will keep relisting the 450 at 30c ea (depending on your normal free listings) unless you cancel the sale before the relisting takes place. EDIT: I am incorrect, it also applies to 30-day listings. Edited by 999fine

Right. I discovered I don't like ,"Good til Cancelled". They pop up unexpectedly & wipe out my presumably available listings.

73 more done/298 left to list 8/12/16. Making progress, tonight, I'll list some German 1,2,5 & 10 pfennigs, & plenty of others. I should add that I subscribe to ebay's 14.95 per month ebay Store plan. |

To be allowed 500 free listings makes it a good opportunity. I have 329 done , with 171 to go & the offer ends at midnight tomorrow. Understand to do a listing on ebay takes a few minutes. Perhaps 5 to 10 minutes. I scan the obverse & reverse of the coin & keep it in it's place in an album or cigar box. I type in the description & pertinent information. The best part of the challenge is that these are new listings & I'm getting some on there that otherwise may have taken much longer to get to. I'll start listing this morning with a few from Morocco. Also, all 500 listings are priced at $1.95. 47c for the stamp - 6 cents for the envelope, 6 cents for the vinyl flip, 3 cent return address label, minus paypay & ebay charges leaves me about 75 cents for each coin. Here's one I just listed. Also, to clarify, aside from the obvious self promotion, I wanted to know if anybody else was scrambling to list 500 coins in one week. And, the listing is free, except that ebay & paypal do get their cut of the pie. Free, meaning that if I go over the allowed number of listings with my ebay subscription , there would otherwise be a charge of 20 cents whether or not the item sells. For those who do not sell on ebay, this may give an insight into the seller's perspective & a look at what the seller does to get each coin listed.   |

I hit my " ebay Selling Limit" of 720 items. 688 listed plus 32 items sold this month. I listed 372 of the promotional offer & was cut off due to my "selling limit". So with 128 yet to go, I have hit the limit...unless they raise my limit. |
