A possible 1/104:
Krause lists a 1662 Albus from Essen with the following wording 104 EINNEN REICHSTAHLER. I can't find any images of this coin (or the corresponding 1/26 from the same year which may have the same design) and thus I don't know whether the inscription is correct - but regardless of any typos, that would be a new entry.

Also,
a new 7-1/2 from Frankenthal (this time NGC has an image).

Just found a denomination that wasn't listed: Nigeria (?) 1/8 penny=1/400 dollar (Numista link).
I don't think we have a 1/8 penny listed either, so might as well list it there too (as soon as we figure out which country it is).

Some more or less unusual denomination to add. Nothing completely new to the list, unfortunately:

Hungary 8 forint = 20 francs (link)
Haiti 12 centimes (link)
Guinea-Bissau 50.000 Pesos (link)
Jordan 3/4 dinar (link)
Belgium 12-1/2 euro (link)
Spain 400 euro (link)
North Korea 700 won (link)
North Korea 350 won (link)
Luxembourg 175 eurocent (link)

Just wanted to mention the 1 pfennig=1/100 mark and 2 pfennig=1/50 mark coins of Mecklenburg (-Schwerin and -Strelitz) from 1872.

We already have both 1/100 and 1/50, but our only 1/100 is a bit confusing, and our only 1/50 is an obscure token in an obscure currency.

Oh yea, I forgot about this thread. I found some possible new ones a while ago, so I guess today is a better day than any to clear some of my saved pages.

From the Italian state Sardinia, there is 2.6 and 7.6 soldi.
Here is a very strange one: 26 2/3 tolas from British India.
4.2 ECUs from Gibraltar.
And NGC provides no pictures for the 1/75 gulden from the German state Rottweil, but their description suggests the currency is written on it.

-----

Now, I am not sure if these ones count:

I forget which country these two were listed under, as NGC only says War of Independence. I want to say Mexico, but I am not so sure. Two countermarked examples exist of a 7 3/4 and 7 1/4 reales from whatever country it was.

And I have absolutely no idea how some of the coins from the Order of Malta would be counted, but a 3 scudi 5 carlini 18 grani coin exists. NGC lists other weird ones like that for that country, but I could only find pictures of that one.

In order:

- we've discussed those two types before, consensus was that they weren't actually decimal fractions but fancy ways of writing 2-1/2 and 7-1/2 respectively
- private bullion, apparently, not sure if that counts
- I was pretty sure we already had that one, weird
- nice, and probably real! but I couldn't find any pictures either
- Mexico, I think, I definitely found those myself, but forgot if I mentioned them or not
- and pretty sure that's just a weird ingot... we'd probably need some clarification on whether it was a more regular issue

I must agree with January1may on all the points he made.

And yes, those countermarked reales are listed as being Mexican. It is mentioned that there were 7-1/2 and 7 reales of the same type as well. Good luck finding photos of them, though...

Anyway, all the recent finds (including all the Mexican ones) have now been added. Thank you!

Just happened to stumble on this Italian thread, which did pretty much the exact same thing (complete with a regularly-refreshed list) several years earlier.

(Spoiler: out of the numbers in the original post, 41 and 88 are still unattested, and they don't appear to know of our 27 either.)

So far, looks like our list is actually more complete, but I'll try to go through their version for anything we might have missed anyway.

Finally checked the Italian thread.

New (to us) denominations:

Venezuela 1300 bolivares NCLT - picture here
Venice 8-3/4 soldi - picture here, about 70% down (though it appears to be a pattern, so might not count)
Scotland 53 shillings 4 pence (53-1/3 shillings) - Numista link (note the LIII 4 in the center)
Scotland 13 shillings 4 pence (13-1/3 shillings) - Numista link
Indonesia 850,000 rupiah NCLT - Numista link, picture
Paraguay 4500 guaranies NCLT - picture here (note: not actually the type from the thread)
Oldenburg 1 grote=1/72 thaler - Numista link
Thailand 900 baht NCLT - um, eBay listing
Turkey 25,000,000 lira NCLT - picture here

...and some more high-denomination notgeld (Heilbronn, Ruhr und Rhein).

New examples of denominations we do have:

Luxembourg 700 eurocent NCLT
Scotland 4 shillings 6 pence (4-1/2) and 4 shillings 9 pence (4-3/4) countermarked
Indonesia 125,000 rupiah NCLT
British West Indies 1/16 and 1/8 dollar
Neuchatel 42 kreuzer (actually already mentioned in this thread)
Equatorial Guinea 8000 francos NCLT
Thailand 9000 baht NCLT
Mongolia 12,000 tugrik NCLT

...Might have missed a few, sorry.
(Also don't really have that much time to look for pics, so doubly sorry.)

I believe we decided not to count the Latvian 1.42 euro, right?

I'm not sure whether the Singapore Almanac $34 series should count (technically, they're made up of several coins of separate values).

I'm honestly unsure what to do with the supposed Brazilian 16000 reis of Joao V (the picture looks plausible, but I couldn't find any other reference that such an issue ever existed, and there's no picture of the other side so I have no idea what the date and mint was).

And it doesn't appear that the Niue 1/33 dollar actually listed its denomination that way.

[EDIT: added NCLT markers]

Maybe because it is actually Portuguese.

January1may,
- first list all added.
- second list added, except for the Neuchatel 42 kreuzer (couldn't find any reference to it).

I couldn't find an image of any of the Mongolian 12000 tugrik coins but there are several listed in Krause without photos, so it's on the list.

Yes of course, a set or lot of separate coins doesn't count.

The Venetian coin and the Portuguese 16000 reis have been added with a note that they were patterns.

Also added: Naples 9 cavalli (from the Italian thread, first page) (Numista) and while we're here, a 4 cavalli (Numista).

That's because I misremembered which canton it was and forgot to check my reference.

(Note: this coin type had apparently suffered from serious strike problems, and the Numista example doesn't really show the value at all. At least on the Rhinocoins example you can kind of read the 42 if you squint.)

Fribourg 42 kreuzer added.

Added some more from the Italian thread:
- Yugoslavia 400 dinara NCLT
- Turkey 1500 and 3000 lira NCLT
- India 150 rupees NCLT
Since the Italians already found the images of those coins, we might as well add them to diversify our list.

Elsewhere, I found these among the new listings:
- Paraguay 1/12 real (link)
- Dominica 4 dollars (link)
- Bolivia 8 soles (Numista)
Nothing new but also added for the same reason.
