I can't read that script so if anyone could confirm whether the coins actually specify that denomination, I would be grateful. Know of others? Would like to add something to the list? january1may Pillar of the Community Russian Federation 5044 Posts	Posted 08/11/2016 06:01 am Paraguay 15 centimos should be added to the 15 list (it's an unusual 15 type from a region not known for them). 1/24 thaler is pretty common for assorted Polish and German states (e.g. Polish poltorak). Brazil had 40 and 80 reis coins (I have a 80 overstruck as a 40). Romania 2000 lei (but 2000 is fairly common really). Report this Post to the Staff

Bimetalllic and CuNi coins, too, along with NCLT Silver proofs up to 15,000,000 Lira, including an oval 7,5000,000 Lira coin. DL20K Pillar of the Community Poland 3201 Posts	Posted 08/11/2016 07:53 am Thank you, a quick search revealed that Turkey issued a lot of NCLTs in the late 90s and early 00s with high denominations, for example: 1,500,000; 2,500,000; 3,000,000; 4,000,000; 7,500,000; 10,000,000; 20,000,000 lira plus one 30,000,000 lira (children's day) in 2002 and one 50,000,000 lira (Besiktas FC anniversary) in 2003. Poland issued 100,000; 200,000; and 300,000 zloty NCLTS in the early 90s (last ones in 1994). More recently, they put out this small gold 37 zloty NCLT issued in 2009 (listing). Finn235 Pillar of the Community United States 6130 Posts	Posted 08/11/2016 11:25 am In Vietnam, the cash coins (cast and the struck colonial issues) remained legal tender at 1/600 piastre until 1945. Austria Hungary was on the standard of 60 kreuzer = 1 thaler, so they had 5, 6, 7 (!), 10, 15, 20, and 30 kreuzer coins circulating concurrently in ca. 1807. In medieval Hungary there was a coin called a "parvus" or "small denar" which as near as I can tell, would have been worth something like 2/3 or 3/4 of a denar. The Japanese island of Ryukyu is famous for its very rare 100 mon coin, which was increased in value to 124 mon for some reason. The bottom dropped out on the Tokugawa coinage after 1800-ish and even the natives couldn't figure out the several competing currency standards that were subject to the whims of the local government. Dagaz Valued Member Slovenia 459 Posts	Posted 08/11/2016 12:08 pm Oriole: Slovenian lipe were never government issiue. But they did circulate to some degree in some shops. So it depends on how you define the rules of this odd denomination list. I personally think of them more as tokens. 3 euro coins however are legal method of payment here. And from time to time my gf brings me one of those from the store where she works. Also Portugal has some collectors coins of value 7,5 €. Report this Post to the Staff
