Anyone ever have any problems with PMG paper money grading? I have two Texas republics notes I'd like to know if they are real and get them a assigned grade.

Post them here for a litmus test on whether they are authentic. There are well known copies which are easily identifiable.

I've used PMG since 2006 and have not had any problems with them till this past year & a half..

They seem to be lazy when grading Error Currency, and even when all the Confirmation they need to confirm said error Notes, they still get it wrong..

Since Certification is Opinion Based, and some times they just don't get it, I started making my own Corrections on the Holders instead of wasting more time & money returning them..

Back in the 1980's I purchased a $3.00 Republic of Texas Note via monthly mail bid sales (pre-dates ebay & Internet), that a few years later turned out to be a COPY..

I would like to see a photo (both sides) of your Notes..

This also was my most recent experience.
On first submission, my note came back as a "Cutting Error"

I sent it back, mentioning the wrong description, and PMG reholdered the note.

That's the Note where I commented on the left side showing H1 plate position, joined with D3 on the Right Side..

That error is now a thing of the past with the New SOI 50 Note press..

I'm gonna send you a email regarding the Gilbert G-G serial numbers..

Brian34Jersey, I'm not hijacking your thread, just showing Steve the 1st Pakistan error before I made the corrections on the holder..

Besides not being educated enough to confirm both serial numbers, they overgraded this note and the other that they did grade a AU50, is a CU all day long..

These are the 1st printing (2006) for a Feb.2007 Release date.. The Notes are also Stapled 100 Notes to a Book, and PMG is calling the Staple Holes (that should not affect the grade in anyway) Pin Holes on my other note (not pictured), and deducted a minimum of 10 points..

I hope to post a thread of PMG knowing how to holder errors from 2006 versus 2016..

I like the Silver Security thread glowing blue/green under a black light.

I have not submitted any error notes to PMG, so I can't comment here, but in general I feel their standards are more rigorous than over at PCGS (I could elaborate).

But, on any given Sunday, at any given grading service, with any given grader...it is still a crapshoot.
