On the reverse of this 1973 D LMC, I noticed an interesting rise on the top left corner of the memorial extending to the 2nd and 3rd bay, and another bump under the stairs just below the left planter. I thought it might be PMD, but the obverse shows no sign of the coin being hit and causing the rise on the reverse. I then thought possible clash but the overlays on maddieclash do not line up. Could this be a die issue or a struck through issue of some sort?

Looks like a really strong die clash. You might want to check this website for a listing. Nice Find.

The die was clashed and polished to remove the clash mark. Then several more times it was clashed and polished. Not that part of the field is missing leaving now a raised area. You can also see it under the base also. Die is aging/clashing and abrading its life away. It happens.

Coop, that makes sense. So, if I am understanding you correctly. This coin is not a die clashed coin, but a coin struck from a repaired clashed die? Is it worth saving?

Not really unless you want to show it to a new collector.
