Probably been done before, but I thought I would introduce the absolute ugliest coin design. I must say that the '95 Special Olympics commemorative has got to be the single ugliest coin design.

I don't recognize her, but that doesn't seem a flattering portrait.

I actually have to disagree, even though this coin is horrible looking, I have to vote for the Bridgeport commemorative half as the ugliest coin ever. I SWEAR that this has nothing to do with your avatar. I have always hated what they did to that eagle..shark...dolphin...you know what I mean.

WOW They should have used the guy that won the 100 yard dash as the model for the coin, it only could have improved the look of it!

Ouch!! You hit me in the gut with that one!

It is funny that you said that because I would have thought it was the obverse with P.T. Barnum that you would have pointed to as ugly. Maybe it's just me, but the art deco eagle on the back of the Bridgeport commemorative is way cool. The eagle was not meant to be realistic looking.

Well, I won't fault you for your lack of vision!

And who is she? Beavis's mother?

I'd rate that coin #3. #2 is the 3 cent nickel. #1 is the Morgan dollar. Chacun a son gout. Hee hee.

Totally serious here, but maybe it was a "special" artist who drew it? Otherwise, who would mint that ugly thing?
