i would be interested in hearing from experts here, I always thought test tokens were marked test somewhere.

They are found in sets given to bullion dealers encapsulated in plastics as a display piece, sort of a RCM test piece

with John100. These were originally sets of tokens embedded in lucite. I had a set of them some time ago & sold the whole set for less than $100. I heard they were originally displayed in banks as a promotional piece.
