Hello All.

I'm new to the forum. I've been collecting coins since I was a kid, however, have recently gotten back into it.

I recently bought a bunch of South American coins recently and cannot find any reference on the internet for the coin I am attaching pictures for. I know it is from Peru, however, it is like no other coin I've seen before from Peru. Does anyone know any information about this coin?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks nicolashsing for your quick response. I very much appreciate it.

I have mostly focused on U.S. and Canadian coins. Lately, I've been including other countries as well. I picked up other Peruvian and also Venezuelan coins as well.

Turned out I was searching for coins instead of medals in my searches on the internet. When I search for medals, I can now see some links that show coins just like mine.

Any idea on its approximate value based on condition?
