Request informed input on this coin. How much does the tarnish/spotting detract? Looks very high grade to me judging wear.

Thanks for any input. Regards, , Bill

Many commemorative halves have toning to some degree, and your eye will generally tell you if it is unattractive. In this case there is no problem. Tell us more about the luster, please.

Also, IIRC, for 1930s commemoratives, it is very unusual to find any amount of actual wear. They just did not circulate much, if at all (and many of the known circulated examples were actually pocked pieces).
So it is actually normal to have a "very high grade judging wear" (which is to say, some kind of MS grade) - though you might have referred to something different, and not necessarily actual wear.

This shows the luster better than the previous photo. Hard to tell from the photo but appears to be turning a very light yellow tone. Thank you for the input. Bill

Appears to be a choice MS example in the 64 range. Most attractive.

The toning looks okay to me. It is what I would expect to see.

This lovely example is MS- something .... and the toning indicates original, un-dipped surfaces.

Indeed ... which is why IMHO the pursuit of a circulated classic silver commemorative type set is so challenging.
