Seems like the obverse out does the reverse...the rev looks VG while the obv looks VF to me. Genuine?

Genuine and the reverse is better than VG IMO. 1819/8? Looks VF20.

Vf20....pre 1820 are notoriously inconsistent strikes

with the majority: VF-20 overall. IMO, the lack of detail on the reverse is the soft initial strike from the mint.

I have this (tentatively) as an O-114/Rarity-3.

It appears genuine to me.

FYI: this is not an overdate (9 over 8). All the 1819 overdate CBHs have the blocky tops to the 1's in the date, not the more rounded 1 tops that this coins has.

VF-20. You have to grade this series from the reverse.
