Not MAD but an off center strike. Looks like a 1982 LD copper.

Nice find!
You would think with a shape like that it would have been culled out long ago. Will not fit in a roll of cents and surely wouldn't go through a bank counting machine.

Nice find. I have to think this has not been in circulation for the last 33 years. I am guessing some one recently reentered it in circulation.

Before 2001 they put coins into bags. After 2001 they were put into pallet bins. So the bags would have the neat things as a bonus for the buyer. (but not always though) That is where this coin was found.

I can't remember exactly, but I do know it was in my change bank (little piggy bank), so it must've been returned to me as change.
