Is this an error on the top edge and bottom edge? All opinions are appreciated. Thank you

It's damage. Someone dropped it on it's edge. Beyond that it's a nice looking circulated Morgan with a nice circulation cameo look.

Looks like someone used it to flip. It hit the cement and then they filed the burr off the rim of the coin. SO it is basically a scrap metal coin at this point, a cull. Too bad. It is a CC.

It's a $100 coin. Not a scrap metal value coin. Not only is it a CC Morgan it's also a better date CC.

Without the rim dings it's a $200+ piece. With them it should still bring $100 easily.

Thank you in saying it's "not" scrap metal. I'll post new and better pics. It's definitely not from a drop.

Why do you say that it's definitely not from a drop?

May we see pictures of the edges of the coin where it is flattened?

Looks like PMD to me in these pictures.

If it was dropped would it be smooth front and back on both ends of the coin?
