cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 08/18/2016 3:36 pm MD = Mechanical Doubling. That means there was a problem during the striking of the coin and not an issue with the die. These errors aren't usually collected or valued much by collectors. In the future when asking about a coin, it helps to include the date and mint mark of the coin in question. An image of the whole coin, along with the other images helps too. Report this Post to the Staff
