Hello there, New Members here ..Elaine & Jojo   Newbies to the Coin World, but very excited for our new hobby. I have 2 coins I'm asking about...can anyone help tell me if they're worth anything? Both are the result of Post Strike Damage ( PSD)

That 1st one is similar to what happens when a cent is put on an electric stove. My son tells me.

 The 1993 looks like heat damage and the 1999 has had the Copper plating removed. Cents minted after 1982 are made of Zinc with an outer coating of Copper, that's why you get the silver color after removing the plating. That also explains the heat damage on the 1993 as the Zinc has melted under the layer of Copper. Hopefully you will still be able to get your Two Cents back for these coins.

The 93 looks like it was exposed to extreme heat imo.

That 1993 looks like it was heated up or left in acid for a period of time. The 1999 might have had its copper plating dissolved. Like cwb said, pennies after 1982 (the year is split in half basically) are 97.5% zinc and 2.5% copper plating. So either way, someone had some fun with these cents. Happy hunting!
