Hi everyone a friend sent over this 1941 nickel to me,he checks his change for old coins and any he finds that he thinks I would like he sends them over to me in Ireland.
I'm not 100% sure if this is the large S type. It has afew dings and bangs but still has some steps. If you could help with a grade and possible value also.I quickly took some pictures with my phone.
All input greatly appreciated
Thanks :-)

I believe that is a normal S.

There are some quality images of the normal verses large S here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/va...-501.213511/

Thanks for that I wasn't sure if it was the inner window line or outer line
Any idea on the grade of it even just a rough estimate I always try to reimburse him the value of any coins I get instead of face value as that's what he asks back for
Thanks again

Roughly $0.50. With a large S, it might fetch $20 on ebay.

That nickel is in pretty good shape for being 75 years old!

Based on the images there, I would grade it at around AU-53. It's worth about $2 and my latest issue of Coins Magazine and the 2017 Red Book. Very nice coin. I've got nine of the Large S variety. Here's an image of seven of them for reference.
