How about a real time clock somewhere its very complicated for me to work out what time it is forum time when I am flitting around from country to country my math is not very good
sometimes I have not read all the new posts before I have to log off if I make a note of the system time I can come back and never miss a new post. I know a subject is supposed to ghange to purple if its new since your last log on but any unread purples go back to the normal colour if you log off and back on again before reading them.

Couldn't agree more.

Since there are many people around the world in this forum, It could be nice to see the forum clock at top or at the sidebar.
A detailed list for 12 hour regions would be excellent but that may be asking too much, so at least a main date-hour display eg: GMT,PST or EST could do the trick.

I'm working on it, it's not as easy as it sounds.

I can find tons of clock scripts on the net, but they either don't let me do an offset from server time, or they are multi-colored, 3D, moving all around garbage, that would give a healthy person a seizure.

hehe nice quote, I think Bobby may have some other priorities, we can do some maths for the moment (I add 7 hours to forum time and get GMT+2 :)

Here's another simpler idea that popped in my mind; If the demand for a real-time global clock is that high, lets make a simple conversion chart :P

And if it's easy, you want it last week right?

I have come accross a clock that may do us some good.
It looks like a digital clock and date, takes the data from a server and can be set to GMT+/-sth.
However it updates as the page is reloaded. And I frankly have no idea whether html coding can be embedded into forum asp.

If you want to check that Bobby, I pasted into my weblog, its set to GMT+2 here at the top
