i was charged by the usmint last night for an item and when I called to see what item it was they told what the item was but couldn't tell me that the item shipped...I'm not used to getting charged for items that haven't shipped. is this their process? I find it funny that you can be charged on a subscription item and it not having shipped yet...anyone know something that can put my mind at ease?

I know that the US Mint is backwards.

Several times I have ordered online and received the item before they even sent the confirmation email that it shipped.

I wouldn't be surprised if the item that you ordered showed up in the next day or so.

i certainly would not mind that at all...in all actuality it wasn't a charge only a pending transaction--of course it might as well be a charge.

Yeah....I really wonder about the quality of the "workers" there at the mint, not just how the place is run.....but you know...the ol' "Pride in your job" thing...
Often times with "low paying jobs", comes "low quality output"..... but even if they ARE paid well it's not a "for sure" thing. Then it would be "foreman/manager" responsibilities......crappy work going on and on unnoticed!
I bet if you put a hidden camera in some places.......(not for theft) just for Quality Control....we'd be amazed ! Similar to restearants, fast food, etc. etc.

you would definitely be amazed at restaurants...i know I see behind the scenes almost everyday and for some you wouldn't want to eat out ever again. it took me awhile to get back into eating out after I saw all "the stuff" that goes on behind the doors...

Yea, I used to work at a restaurant, but it was pretty good. I would never hesitate to eat there, but I have heard stories about some places that would make your hair curl.
