Would anyone have an idea on what's going on in the doorway?

Hi CM, I am going to jump in and see if I can identify what you have. On the middle door left side I think that is a die dent or die gouge. But are all those columns lines supposed to be there? Because of the way they are angeling in, it looks the the porch is being smooched together - are the columns doubled there by chance? Sorry I am not familiar with nickels at all.

Hey CC, I think the columns are normal. I saw one similar to this, it was probably on Brian's website. It was a class V111 Distorted Hub DDR. I don't know much about that though.

Kinda cool looking though (It would probably sell on ebay, after all saying it has a distorted hub DDR unique sounding) - I guess we'll need to wait on the others for the door situation. except for point a different direction is looks very similar to the marking you had to the right top of Liberty on your new Cud listing.

It does have a nice ring to it, but I'm just guessing. Diagnosing this one is a bit out of my league.

I appreciate your taking a stab at it CC. It's definitely a tough one, I'd send it off, but I really doubt they would know either. What makes it so difficult is it's parallel with the top of the doorway. A DD Would be as well. A Dent could be.

Thanks Coop. I guess that rules out a clash. Look at Jefferson's face, it's like he's daring someone to figure out what it is.

It should be a new Class VIII DDR. This one on variety vista is similar, just on the opposite side of the doorway: http://varietyvista.com/04d%20JN%20...4PDDR001.htm

Check out Wexler's also. There are quite a few similar listed from 2008-2016. https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...tings/cat/56

I've been sitting on this 2013 for a couple of months waiting on it to be listed. It's very similar to yours also.

Yes, that's what I was thinking might be the case, Jay. Does it really take a couple months to have a coin listed? Did you send yours to Wexler or Brian? Is it worth it?

Didn't send. Just waiting on someone to send it to get a die number.

Are you just going to hold on to it for now? Ocala usually has a lot of cool ones too, but he hasn't been on very much.

Looks like it is also going on with the doorway on the left as well.
