I'll hold off on the authenticity call.

It's a drachm (or maybe hemidrachm?) Of the Sassanian empire. I don't recognize the emperor and can't read Pahlavi, but maybe Shapur I or II? 250-500 AD timeframe.

This *might* also be a Hepthalite (Hun) imitation from ca. 500-600. The official Sassanian coins became pretty abstracted, but the Huns improved the artwork somewhat when they started minting their own coins in the same style.

@numister, this is much darker than the Sassanian coins that I have seen, but I'm definitely not an expert in this area. I assume that it won't be attracted to a magnet? Your coin really looks cast to me and the series of parallel marks on the obv (your second pic) from about 9 to 12 o'clock look suspiciously like file marks used to hide a parting line. What does the edge look like?

Kushano-Sasanian or Kidarite, actually. Varhran of Gandhara.
