I picked up a few Morgans at a local antique store the other day, and I noticed what I believe to be die clashes on both the obverse and reverse of this 1882 P. The clash markes on the obverse are at the area were the jaw and the neck meet and at the right angle I can make out feather marks across the jaw. The reverse marks are between the upper wreath and wings on both the left and right side as well as above the left wing extending to just right of the "n" in igwt. I looked at the overlay on maddieclashes and the marks seem to match. I apologize for the tint on some of the photos, my camera did not want to cooperate with the macro lens. Thoughts?
Thanks Dave, I think we have a match. I noticed the doubling in ths 8 & 2, but I am not to familiar with Morgans and I figured it was just MD. I appreciate the knowlegde, thank you!
