As I said earlier, my choice was made for me and I stuck with it.

I have looked at others, but I decided to stay with what I knew. I do think Dansco albums are better made than the other choices, but part of that opinion might be attributed to bias.

I personally like them for several reasons. (1) They just look good. I like the color with the gold-leaf stamping on the cover and the spine and they seem to be very well put together. I also like that you can purchase slipcases to match any size album they make. (2) While Dansco has albums for just about any US coin series, they also sell blank albums in various sizes and blank pages with hole cutouts in a wide variety of sizes. While I have a large number of Dansco US coin albums, I've also been able to build my own albums for my Canadian coin collection. Dansco albums are ideal for "build-it-yourself" albums. Also, Dansco will custom-stamp a title on the cover and spine of any blank album (price is a little hefty though).

I have several other albums and folders in my collection such as Whitman and Littleton but much prefer the Dansco.

Just my thoughts.

As I stated in your other thread, I tried Whitman albums at first, but their albums included some coins that I felt should not be in the set, and excluded other coins that I felt should be in the set. I switched to Dansco because the coins they included or excluded fit better with my thoughts of a coin set.

Every one to their own opinion on this one. I've met many people that prefer Whitman, US Mint, Harris, Littleton, etc. Many people do not like Dansco due to things like no slots at the end of pages to remove slides. Extra empty slots for no reason on many pages. However, people usually say they like Dansco since they look so expensive and then hide them away. One thing that has helped make Dansco so popular is they are made in the USA where as most other companies have theirs made in China. If you look up Coin Albums in Google, you would find numerous other brands.
