Maple Leaf Quartet: Interesting premise, seriously overpriced... $205 for 4x0.25 oz. of silver? in a single clamshell and paper box? Might be the biggest leap in this release...
Another borosilicate release in a new series, a couple dollars more than the Universe borosilicate series... I'm generally not super impressed with the quality of the Universe series, so not biting at that price-point... 7500 in production, it will be readily available for quite some time I suspect.
Niobium Dragonfly... in the media provided this looks like one of the better flash coins, but again with the 1oz @ $150 price-point... I'm sure in time they'll unload the 6000 minted, but I'm also fairly confident I could get this for a much better price if I'm willing to wait a year or a few...
Haunted Canada -- well, I don't think they saved the best for the last, but this one I do expect will sell-out soon enough... the accessible price-point helps. I have yet to see one of these lenticular coins in-person... What are other's thoughts on them?
Lunar Lotus Year of the Rooster -- I like the design (an improvement over the no-feet Year of the Monkey design!) but at $102.00 can't they have a design that uses a full oz.? Would be happier to see the coin at $89 or less....

I like the silver Diwali coin and likely will buy from a dealer instead of the Mint when it become available.
They have upped the mintage of the latest Haunted Canada coin from 15,000 to 20,000 so not in a hurry to get it either.

I noticed that the latest Haunted Canada coin will be the last in the series. I have the other two coins, but I will wait on this one given the increased mintage. By the way, Canada Post has the third Haunted Canada uncut press sheet for pre-order and there's only 2,000. The first day cover is also 9,000. I may pick those up plus the stamp set with the coin.

Close to me PO had "Ghost Bride" till the release of the "Brakeman" coin. And now still has "Brakeman" on display (but these PO package, not RCM). Impression "in hands": design - imo they cool if you like the theme, and the technique used in them better than lenticular, cause the change from one image to another happens like "flow"

It's ending already? That's too bad, I sort of expected this series would continue for quite some time to eventually feature a theme from at least every province. Only three, appears as if it was axed.

Finally getting a chance to chime in, though I did post on the September new releases thread.
Nothing inspirational enough to coax out the credit card.
The Maple Quartet is still touted as being 47.4 grams in total though they are marked as 1/4 ounce for each piece.
The odd question I have is whether they are encapsulated separately and if so, it would be easy to lose one.
I can already imagine someone trying to pawn one piece off at a time for cash. 'Hey buddy will you give me 3 bucks for this?'

Quote: The Maple Quartet is still touted as being 47.4 grams in total though they are marked as 1/4 ounce for each piece. My guess is that the 47.4 grams listed in the Specifications table is a typo. All of the images, including those of the actual coins, show that each piece is 1/4 ounce. Such a weight would be in line with previous RCM silver $3 coins.

With all "nothing" of September release, there is one coin, that I forgot about it and it captured my attention: INUIT ARCTIC FOX - 2017 25-Cent 0.5g Pure Gold Coin I knew that it will be cool, and liked it, when I saw it. But, imo, to enjoy this / these coins, the magnified display required (the same as the 4-coin set has). So...will leave it, knowing that RCM issued additional nicely designed coin.

Looks like lots of September releases are up now, not on mint.ca, but theshoppiNGChannel.com

I took a tour of some local Canada Post outlets here in Toronto today. At one location I got the 2015 Haunted Canada quarter & stamp (last one, 10% off), then the very next location I went to I got one of the last 2 2014 Haunted Canada from their display...
One location had the new set of 4x0.25 oz. $3 'coins' (bars?) and wow... what an utterly gargantuan clam shell... What were they thinking when they put that package together? That the super-sized clam-shell helps offset the ludicrous mark-up? If anyone here ordered the set, I do hope you enjoy it... whatever it's magic is though, eludes me.
