How well acknowledged is this variety? CoinsandCanada gives it a mention but not acknowledged by trends or Charlton.

Sloping 6 is in Charlton's 5 cent variety supplement.
In fact there are at least a couple of different sloping 6's.
Cool but no significant premium.

In 1896 the 9 and 6 were hand punched into each and every reverse die.
There will be as many die varieties as the number of reverse dies used.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Thanks DBM. I did notice at least two variants. One with a relatively straight 9 (as above) and one with a more slanted 9 (both noticeably slanted 6). And guessing there is more.
