If I sent to be graded. How bad will the damage on the obverse of this coin hurt grade. Bring it to a Damaged Details or not being able to be graded. I will probably leave raw, but just wondering.

I Was thinking I was going to see a beat up walker , but to my surprise it's a gorgeous full hand ,full breast feather beauty . that hit on her leg is nothing to worry about . I would definitely send it in .

I agree with T Bop. It may prevent it from a higher gem grade of 66/67 or better, but it will by no means cause it to be a details grade. I am at MS 65.

I was worried about the line between the L and I, and just before the Y, looks like something circular pressed into it.

It is difficult to read given the pics. Take another pic of the area of concern and post it.

Can't get a good pic, camera refuses to focus, sorry. On the original you can see starting in the middle L in Liberty and is a half arc dent/scratch. It continues to the middle of I, then on other side is a arc mark before Y.It looks like a smaller coin was pressed against it, or something circular clamped down on it. Enough to press down the leg of L and middle of the I.

You don't need to move the camera closer. Just get to the minimal focal distance, take the image in the maximum resolution setting, go to photoshop and crop the section you want us to see. If we blow up the image you have posted it won't work because it has lost resolution by making it the size needed for the forum.
Rest in Peace

Ok ,I see the circular lines your talking about . Again I don't think they are cause for alarm . they don't seem to be heavy scratches or gouges . maybe just a mark that may or may not come off .
Still say you have a beautiful Walker .

The obverse scrape will probably hold this to MS-63. For best photos, remove from the 2x2.

If those two arcs are truly hits (likely), then I'd say 64 tops. Still a beauty.
