So I'm still pretty new to Indo-Greek coins, and I just picked up this coin advertised as a Menander I Drachm. Is it in fact Menander I? Also, I am not quite sure where to locate the mint. Is it stated on the obverse or reverse? Thanks!

I'm having trouble making out the legend, but from what I can tell it isn't Menander. I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Good call, Ron. The legends (both the Greek obverse and Kharoshthi reverse) seem to be a match for this one:

Bob L- Great! Thanks for the help! However, how does one determine the mint of my coin?

Gee, I didn't help also? The mint is Taxila which was the main mint for the Indo-Scythian empire.

Quote: Gee, I didn't help also? Quick reads and replies lead to this kind of thing. The other day I tried to throw some help Finn's way and got a "Thanks, Sap!" in reply. Which, as I thought about it, was kinda awesome and flattering.

See http://coinindia.comI'd also recommend Tom Mallon's site at grifterrec.rasmir.com but the server seems to be down currently.
