This Peace dollar was just graded by PCGS... How do you think it did?

Rim damage, and very distracting and unattractive tarnish. I think it's a reach to make AU 53, and even at that it's just a $25 coin.

I agree, it has an unattractive finish. With the benefit of hindsight, I realize I shouldn't have paid to have it graded. Now you get to see how well you all did! Great grading!

The important thing here is to not repeat your mistake in the future. Feel free to ask us for an opinion on whether a coin is worth sending to TPG - no question goes unanswered.

Thanks, I appreciate it! The main reason I sent some low-value coins for grading is that I decided to get the PCGS membership that came with 8 "free" coin grading vouchers. I could have used those vouchers more wisely, though.
