1) Listed in Guidebook of Franklin Mint Issues, 1982, page 95.

2) Medal is part of the Societe De La Sculpture De Medalles set. Set was formed from 1971 and 1972. Set is a commission of original masterpieces by the world's foremost artists.

3) Medal is #14 of the 15 piece set. The name of the medal (as listed in the guidebook) is Bunraku by Shigemi Kawasumi.

4) Sterling silver and 64 mm diameter. 3000 grains (6.2 troy ounces).

5) This medal has a mintage of 387 (mintage varies with each of the other 14 medals in the set)

6) Obverse is an original artwork. Reverse is a self-portrait of the artist.
