TOT LOT WAS A BUST, hunted the outside edge next to the fence, worked over to two benches, and then behind the bleachers that sit on a concrete slab. Found 3 quarters, 2 dimes, 23 pennies. Next time I will work the areas closest to the entrance and then the concession/break area. Webekin

I assume you haven't found anything old or silver there.

I know I must have lost a coin or two at some point in my life but the way coins turn up in parks and sports fields .... I don't know...

People must be really careless. All the better for you!

No silver there so far, pool opened in 1965 I think! Did find a charm, small pad lock missing the connection eye, has an uppercase K on the face! Think children may exit the facility on concrete, sidewalk is hot and they get on the grassy area fast, carrying their clothes while wearing swim attire! Coins fall out of the clothes being carried? You're probably right about the kids dropping their coins that way. They probably aren't carrying anything to put the coins in except for the pockets of the clothes they aren't wearing.
