I have a 1935 Buffalo nickel in about VG-10 condition. On the obverse the L in LIBERTY is intact, but the letters of the lower half of IBERTY are missing. There is no apparent damage, scratch or gouge. What have I got?

Most likely a coin that got damaged long ago in a coin rolling machine.
