These are some pictures of a 2016 Mercury dime displaying no edge, and flattened torch and flower. Can any determine the type anomalies present and the causes thereof? All replies welcome.

the dime is very small in those pictures. Crop away the blank space around the coin so the coin can be larger.

CCF has a tool to help with that: the Free Image Optimizer Hint: The edited image is saved to your computer.

to CCF! I'd call it a Parking lot coin. It's been abraded to death by scraping it on concrete or some similar situation. Imagine it being stuck to the bottom of somebody's shoe..

Is there no obverse (face side) to the coin or is it scraped away, too?

Since you said it was a 2016 the obverse must still be there. Am I right? Given its youth, there's a strong possibility it was done on purpose. Think, Kid on a sidewalk with nothing else to do.

* I sent replies to the 'staff' for each response, not knowing exactly who that works. In any event, thank you for the replies. Enclosed a picture of the obverse.

Not a Mercury dime...also it is just damage, most likely from a wrapping machine.
