I came across this Draped Bust quarter. I don't have one of these and need to fill a hole. I notice some damage on the back if this one so it would get a details grade. What do you that would grade and what would be a fair price? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

It appears to be AG-03 at best. Frankly, I'm not sure whether they give "details" qualifiers at this grade level. Someone else will surely know.

I examined your coin. I would just hold onto it unless you came into possession of a better coin from the same year. Given the damage and how worn it is, I would pay about twenty five to thirty five dollars max.

$25-35 seems low; I haven't purchased this yet, was looking for opinions. It's in the low $100 range - should I buy or not?

It looks like it could be slightly bent based on the wear pattern. This in conjunction with the big dent on the reverse would keep me away unless it was for a really good price. Joeysanders would have outbid me.

I saw this one and it's actually for sale on ebay by one of our own members. Hopefully he/she can stop by and fill you in a bit more!

The member is me!
Over by the 'OF' in OF AMERICA on the REV, it is bent slightly upwards...almost not even to notice.

AG3. not sure about details on low grade coins like this. I would think it would not make much difference if it was. if you are using it as a placeholder then remember you will only be seeing the obverse when its in the book. I think it'll work

I might give it a Good Details grade based mainly on the reverse that looks like a 6. The obverse is 2.5 to me so I can see About Good Details being possible. It sold for $107 on ebay last month which seems a bit high to me. I'd put it around $75 to $85 realistically. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1806-25C-Dr...047675.l2557

AG details and $100 is actually right around the sweet spot for these coins with damage.

Do you have any inputs on this coin?

I like it better than the last one and would put it at FR02. I think the obverse scratches are acceptable for the grade.
