Just found a Die Crack in a Gold Delta!
At first I thought it was a scratch but on a closer look it is not a scratch.
Crack goes from the edge above the 2nd A in Canada through the D and the last A then down to the shield and then up through the 2 to the edge.

Anybody else see anything on their coin?

Took a lot of effort to get the right lighting but I have some microscope pictures.

In a couple pics you can see the secondary flow of the gold on top of the other side of the crack.

Surprised this coin got out of the mint.

Hrm... looks like it could be a strike through... on the microscope pics... through dust or a hair... but... someone else really should have a better idea...

some of the pictures look like there are cracks in the holder, some of them look like "struck through" errors

Are they raised or incuse. Some lok like scratches on the coin itself and some look like scratches, not cracks, on the die. Are all the marks raised on the coin?

Yes, all are raised except between the rim and the D where it is both raised and indented. The 3 microscope pictures of the crack going down from the A, up to the 2, and through the 2 actually have shadows. Use the links for bigger images.

I think that some are scratches on the die and possible some strike throughs, although some may be PMD to the coin itself.

Had to look up what PMD was! Post mint damage was my first thought but after magnifying and confirming the marks were not scratched into the coin my opinion changed. Scratches to the die are a possibility but the very unique path of the lines make that a long shot, and point more to a die crack.

Die cracks don't usually follow such a linear line .. they go to the distinct minute weaknesses in the metal. But they originate from a stress point on the die .. a sharp pointed turn, serifs, leaf tips, etc. Yours rae very straight and non-wavering with some going over the design itself. You almost have to see it in hand as a computer screen leaves lots to be desired.

Spent a bit more time with the help of a couple friends and we have traced the path of the crack, not straight in the slightest.
There are multiple cracks.

Here are the same pics with the path traced.
