1913-Lincoln:-Please-Analyze-Odd-Stain

I wonder if anyone can analyze the stain on the obverse of this coin that I am considering buying. The vendor has provided this excellent photograph, which I always appreciate. It looks like long ago, someone spilled a Coke on it, and the stain fell across the coin and then puddled up in the dark scalloped stain at the lower side. Obviously, I speculate/joke, but it does look like a pooled liquid to my admittedly untrained eye, but I'm always amazed at the analytical abilities of some of the folks here, so I appeal to you. Obviously, aside from the stain, the coin has some appealing characteristics, but I wonder how much of an impairment the stain is. No secret on the grade: It is PGCS 63RB, so you can give your opinion on that, too. (Maybe a point was deducted for the stain?) Thanks in advance for any insights.
Rest in Peace

So it was straight graded by PCGS ? If it was a liquid spill I'm sure previous owner would have tried to wipe it off , Unless it's a permanent stain
your call if you want to crack it out and acetone the heck out of it .

Coin taped in folder and then got some coffee spilled on it.

How's that for a WAG?

Looks like it may have been dipped at some point and not rinsed properly.

I do not think it is Coke or dipped. I would urge you not to buy it however. You have been concerned enough to ask here about it so it bugs you. It will always bug you. Wait for another example.

Just a stain, it is what it is. Looks like a 63 to me.

It had a hundred years to get that way, probably stored poorly.

Looks fine for me MS63RD.
I will not try anything on it.
If it has some chemical left over, dipping could make it worse.

I was thinking storage ...
I think for all of us ... just guessing

I was thinking .. it was stored where it would get hot and cold.
Condensation formed and dried ... staining the coin ...

Just my guess
