I bought this 1828 large cent for $4 at the LCS because I wanted to try to attribute the variety. Turned out to be a (probable) Newcomb-12, R-3+.


Considering there's a little over 200 of these known, it wasn't a bad buy. Granted there aren't many buyers for something this shabby.
