I have been selling and buying some things on IOFFER.COM lately. It's pretty good, since you can make an offer to them and you negotiate until you agree to sell or not. So far so good. It's free to post listings too. It is kind of cumbersome with some navigation but it's a pleasant alternative to the ebay experience.

I'll check that out, thanks! I'd like to find a place that sells a lot of slabbed coins, but without the hassle and crazy prices I see on Heritage auctions.
And, I wouldn't mind seeing another site competing with ebay

Ya, they have slabbed coins on there...just takes some searching. What I like is you can see what other offers have been so you have an idea what it will take to get it. I negotiated a deal for a NGC slabbed coin that the fellow wanted $400 for it down to $105 with shipping included and three in the same condition sold for $250+ on ebay during the same timeframe!

Honestly it is somewhat similar to ebay, and they do charge fees for seling items, not much better other than the fact that you can negotiate a price instead of bidding.

I'm familiar with it from other circles of endeavor. Many people I know online swear by the place as an excellent source for handcrafted stuff.

Well you would expect them to, what do you think Auction type sites are...COINCOMMUNITY? where they operate out of their own pockets, limited sponsors, and donations of it's members via PayPal? SHEESH!

The thing I like about IOFFER is you don't get gouged on the front end just for putting your stuff for sale and if it doesn't sell then you just delete it...nothing lost.

It's just a different venue, which I am enjoying that I thought I'd share.

Personally I have had great success on our Auction/Trade/Buy/Sell boards here on COINCOMMUNITY!

Ioffer is deliberately sneaky and I won't use them.

They give you a tool to import your ebay feedback to their site. They know that doing this is blatantly against the ebay TOS that you agreed to. But of course they never mention that, they encourage you to do it.

That's why they don't do it for you. So when your ebay account gets terminated, they can say "You did it, not us".

I hate sneaky businesses.

Ya I saw that...I wouldn't provide my ebay ID and pw to transfer my feedback, it's not that important to me.

My overall experience has been good thus far and I have a feedback of 4!
