It looks more like it 's got a better chance of being a 'rare' upset to me.

I don't think it's upset. All the young head and earlier dates were 180 degrees offset.

I suppose it's "rare" because very few people would hole an old gold coin?

Unfortunately I see many holed gold coins in my travels. Especially English Guineas.
