The 1977 example is beautiful, I thought it was actually a better grade, but the strike was so weak:

http://www.PCGS.com/cert/33950449

Also, an example from 1983, fully struck:

http://www.PCGS.com/cert/33950451

Examples should (hypothetically) exist for the following years that the RCM struck the 25 Poisha for Bangladesh:

1977
1978
1979
1980
1981
1983
1984

It would be fun to complete a date run of these off-metals, but I imagine it would not be easy!!

Nice coins SPP.......Here is a 1979 nickel struck on a Bangladesh 25 Poisha steel planchet. Saw your post and thought I would share mine too.

These coins are made of stainless steel and are not magnetic, which is unlike regular steel. My pictures appear with a reddish tint but my coin 's color is similar to SPP's. I believe these are exceptionally scarce. SPP is fortunate to have two.

Just found a 1978 25c struck on the same planchet. Super bright, non-magnetic... it will be sent to PCGS for proper attribution and will become good "trade bait" with some like-minded collectors. First I have seen in a 25c.

I might be able to fill in one date. Found in circulation back in the 80's; 2.71 grams, non-magnetic.
