They are stunning, for $260 I'm a happy camper. My next libertad purchase will be of the gold variety. Looking at buying a 1/4 oz piece of either, BU or proof.

NICE!....the capsules look in good condition too. Glad there were no issues with both of yours as it should be. Hope my replaced set comes out the same.

It is a nice set no doubt. I personally tho loath with a dealer does a special set with a mint, doesn't seem to do well for resale or worse yet you find it after a few months for less on ebay auctions. Other than that tho, if you are a Libertad collector how can you not get this set?

When I opened up my set this morning, my coins were in a small bubble wrapped package OUTSIDE of the box itself. This caught me off guard, I thought the coins would've been housed inside the wooden case, not outside of it. My coins look very, very nice. The capsules have no apparent marks or tampering evidence. I do believe APMEX has in house experts who more than likely Cherry Pick these important sets. They can get them graded and then triple or quadruple their money.

Hmm that's interesting. Mine had the coins in place in the case. The fact that yours were bagged might mean they didn't go snooping around in it trying to cherry pick.

I was going to do a video of the unpacking process of this set but I decided not to at the last minute. I was going to put it on you tube, wish I would've now.
My capsules are very clean with no signs of being opened or tampered with. I still don't understand why they were outside of the box, unless people have complained about how it's somewhat difficult to get them out of the box itself.

You should still do a video and post it. Just describe how they arrived. Seems like most that received theirs sooner, like mine, the coins were loose in the case. Not even in the holders. Just loose on top of them sliding around. No bubble wrap or anything to keep them in place.
@mr1030 may have point, or, they finally got their act together after the initial flood of complaints and took better care before shipping them out. Though the fact that they cherry-picked is certain. They're selling 35 sets graded at PF70. Don't think it was 35 random sets submitted.

What! Uggggh, there were many of us who were hoping the 2015 Reverse Proof would be one of a kind. I Purchased the 2015 bankers set myself and my only regret is not having more disposable income to have bought a couple more. Hopefully I can put something together and get the 2016. Either way she's a beauty and congratulations on your purchase, you made a excellent choice. I have a good feeling about these!

Thanks, RealPaso! I think with such small mintages, these will be great investments. From everything I've read and understand, the Libertad series is gaining popularity. I've got the latest 30th anniversary ASE proof, and it's stunning. I still think the Libertads are better looking but it's close.

Quote:I've got the latest 30th anniversary ASE proof, and it's stunning. I still think the Libertads are better looking but it's close. I agree! I have both displayed next to each other on little easels made esp for coins in airtite holders. On another note, I called Don Bailey-Mexican coin broker to ask about the 3-coin bankers set. He said he was certain that an additional 500 of the reverse proofs were made but hadn't heard anything yet as to what the Banco de Mexico was going to do with them. So there still may be a possibility of another set or more individual reverse proofs coming out.
