I thought I saw something here a while back on how two headed coins were made. Going through some quarters tonight, my husband found one and I'm trying to convince him that it's not real. If I could show/explain how they're made he might believe me.
The reverse of the coin is hollowed out leaving the rims in tact, then another coin is milled down to fit into the hollow. If you look real close at the coin, you will be able to see the tiny gap where the two pieces were fitted together.
