Help With A Northern Sung Cash Coin Please

turtlefoot Valued Member United States 182 Posts	Posted 10/16/2016 4:08 pm I have a Northern Sung coin that I am having trouble with the attribution. I am sure that it is a variety of "HSI-NING CHUNG-PAO" from 1068-1077. It has three characters that match S-538, but the fourth (6:00 position matches S-529). They made imitations of Song dynasty coins from the 10th century until the beginning of the 17th. There were two schools of imitations--bitasen, which were "bad quality" private imitations, and more official trade coinage.
