augemini1980, first welcome to CCF. Second, thanks for posting this mounted coin. As a gentle recommendation, you shouldn't clean or shine the coin.

@echizento, I haven't seen that form of a letter K before. Was that shape common in the Byzantine Empire?

Thanks so much guys, its kind of amazing you can still see the mustache or beard on the guy on the left considering the coin is 700 years old. Do you have any idea what the coin is worth, do I get to quit my job? LOL, I am joking.

We really don't like to appraise coins, but if I was going to buy one of these in this condition I would be willing to pay at least $150.
